August Event – Beyond the Book, Part II: Transmedia Storytelling

Is Transmedia Storytelling the Key to Creating Future Bestsellers?

Transmedia Storytelling (also known as transmedia narrative or multi-platform storytelling) is the technique of telling a single story or story experience across multiple platforms and formats using current digital technologies. With the popularity of social media and the ease and affordability of digital capture and publishing technologies, now, more than ever, publishers have opportunities to reach larger audiences than ever before. But how? And what’s the real payoff?

Successful transmedia storyteller and sex expert Reid Mihalko (yep, you read that right!) joins us for Part II of our “Beyond the Book” series to share how you can get your message to mainstream audiences through an understanding, integration and application of transmedia storytelling, social media, digital capture and publishing technologies. No, he won’t be talking about sex, but he still promises an event that is as entertaining as it is educational!

This happy hour event comes with built-in networking time by the bar before and after the panel, so bring business cards! A complimentary drink ticket is provided, as well as sweet and savory hors d’ouevres from La Boulange.

WHEN: Thursday, August 29 5-7 pm
WHERE: Mechanics Institute Library in San Francisco
