Digital Book World has become one of the most important conferences to the publishing industry over the last few years. This year, they’re hosting a one-day conference in New York City on September 26th that focuses solely on digital marketing, and Book Promotion Forum president Kat Engh is in New York for the event this week so she can share what she learned with our community in the Bay Area.
Next Wednesday, we’re hosting a BYOBB (Bring Your Own Bag Lunch) event at the Wiley office in San Francisco, where Engh will share her notes and big takeaways from the conference’s discussions and expo. Members and non-members are both welcome to bring a lunch and join us for this free event.
Member Bonus: BPF Vice President Katie Sheehan and Kat Engh are also meeting with several key media contacts in New York, including editors at Library Journal, Publishers Weekly, The Nation, and more. All members in attendance will receive a special handout featuring updated contact info and “insiders info” on who and what to pitch. Did you know that Molly McArdle is no longer at Library Journal? We’ll tell you who to reach out to now.
**All are welcome for this special, complimentary event, but in order to attend, you MUST RSVP via Eventbrite by EOD (end of day) Monday, September 30. For security reasons, we are unable to accept ANY walk-ins for this event.**
You will need to present some form of ID at the front desk to attend.
